How pad printing works
|
 |
Pad printing was created in the sixties and is an indirect intaglio printing process.
The etched image is covered with ink by a "spatula", the excess ink wiped off by
a doctor blade leaving ink only in the etched image. This ink is the picked up by a
silicone rubber pad and transferred to the product surface.
To reach a very good printing quality it is absolutelly necessary to work on a cliché
with an irreproachable surface. |
